    Invite Users to Join Cluster

    This section explains how to invite users to join a cluster.

    Prerequisites

    You should join a cluster and have the Member Management permission within the cluster. For more information, refer to "Cluster Members" and "Cluster Roles".

    Steps

    1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the Member Management permission, and access your cluster.

    2. Click Cluster Settings > Cluster Members in the left navigation pane.

    3. Click Invite on the right side of the page.

    4. In the Invite Members dialog, click add-dark next to the user you want to invite, select the role for the user in the cluster from the dropdown list, and then click OK.

      KubeSphere provides the following built-in cluster roles:

      Role Description

      cluster-admin

      Cluster administrator with all permissions within the cluster except creating and deleting clusters.

      cluster-viewer

      Cluster viewer with permissions to view all resources within the cluster.

      After being invited to join the cluster, users will be displayed in the list of cluster members.
